Chris is a graduate of North Carolina State University with degrees in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering. Having a positive balance of engineering and development experience, his background is well suited to projects that require a multi-disciplinary approach. Chris sets the bar high and his standards for excellence are unrivaled. He has a solid reputation for managing projects within budget, keeping them on track and not losing site of the primary objectives. Chris focuses his efforts on collaboration with other design and construction professionals, city and county leaders to provide efficient and tactical approaches to development in our community.


Patrick Bradshaw is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a degree in Civil Engineering, beginning his professional career in 1994 and joining Civil Design Concepts in 2008 as Principal and Managing Partner of the Waynesville Branch office. His cross-section of experience includes civil engineering design experience in both the Charlotte and Asheville, North Carolina markets as well as serving as the Civil Engineering Director for the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians – Housing Infrastructure Program. Patrick has developed relationships with a number of government and regulatory agencies, developers, contractors and utility providers, giving Civil Design Concepts a recognized and established presence in the site development market west of Asheville.


Jesse Gardner received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Montreat College; he continued his studies at North Carolina State University receiving a Master’s of Engineering Degree. Beginning his professional career in 2004, Jesse brings design and regulatory experience to a variety of projects throughout Western North Carolina that range from private urban infill projects to large municipal infrastructure projects. Jesse is a detail oriented engineer focused on identifying creative and cost effective design solutions, while still meeting the project requirements. Jesse is skilled in road design, utility infrastructure design, grading, storm water management, flood modeling/permitting, and water and sewer pumping stations.


Chris Day is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a degree in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering. Beginning his professional career in 1998, Chris brings design experience from a variety of project types throughout the southeast. He is a fact finder by nature and this allows him to incorporate the design team’s objectives while remaining grounded in realisms that hold true in every project. As Senior Project Manager, he works with the client and design team from start to finish by navigating through the appropriate agencies to ensure that expectations are exceeded. Positive communication skills permit him to be an advocate for clients while fostering strong relationships with the regulatory personnel.


Jason Pass is a graduate of Appalachian State University.  Beginning his professional career in 2002, Jason has worked for municipalities, engineering consulting firms, and contractors.  Jason`s responsibilities have ranged from Equipment Operator to Senior Project Manager.   Jason brings attention to detail in projects ranging from small local developments to complex multi tier international design build installations, overseeing every aspect of the project from initial development through project completion.  
In his current role as Construction Manager, Jason is adept at working with the design team and the client from project inception.  Jason acts as a knowledgeable and resourceful team member for the benefit all vested parties.  Drawing on his years of experience, Jason helps guide the project team in navigating complex rules, regulations, and ordinances. He prides himself in working with contractors and municipalities to ensure that projects meet deadlines, budget constraints and compliance requirements.


Warren Sugg is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a degree in Civil Engineering. Beginning his professional career in 2000, Warren has designed and managed various types of projects throughout North and South Carolina. His passion is seeing the project from early concept to completed construction. His forward thinking on possible outcomes, with a strong standard for problem solving, has fostered success for many projects. Warren is proactive with communication to keep the shareholders informed of the project status.
As a Project Manager, he adds value by working with the client and design team to evaluate the best design options for the specific project. Managing the production of the design document through careful consideration of permitting, construction techniques, and development cost to provide a final product that exceeds the client’s expectations.


Lori Greenwald serves as the company’s Director of Finance and is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in Business Management.  Lori has been with the firm since it opened in 2001.  Lori directs and oversees the firm’s financial and budgetary activities.
Lori manages the firm’s day to day financial operations including payables, receivables, payroll and investments. She compiles and analyzes financial statements, effective utilization reports, and other performance indicators.  Lori is an integral part of the company’s management team and ensures the firm’s compliance with all financial requirements.


Stephen Brown graduated from Appalachian State University with a Political Science degree. While working as a full time Youth Director at a large Methodist Church he earned a Master’s degree in Christian Education from Pfeiffer University. Stephen grew up in Western North Carolina and balances his love for this area with a desire to see it grow. From a young age Stephen realized that he had a penchant for working directly with people. He has always found a way in his professional career to be involved in the people business. Joining Civil Design Concepts 2015, Stephen serves as our Client Relationship Manager, where he spends his day doing what he loves, being a point of contact with our most valuable asset, our clients.
